WATERJET CUTTING MACHINES
A waterjet pressurises water to 4,000 bar and mixes it with garnet abrasive to cut material without generating heat. It is a cold cutting technology, which means it cuts metal, stone, glass, ceramic and composite on the same machine — the material barely matters.
Because there is no thermal effect, the cut edge shows no deformation, discolouration or micro-cracking. That is the fundamental difference from laser and plasma. USEL manufactures waterjet systems in Istanbul, CE certified, in the STORMA (premium) and Zenith (value) series.

How to choose
A 3-axis machine cuts perpendicular (90°) and is more economical for work dominated by straight cutting. A 5-axis machine rotates the head on the A and C axes for bevel cutting, taper compensation and complex three-dimensional contours. If you are quoting mitred joints or angled edges, you need five axes.
STORMA is the premium series: KMT/BFT high-pressure pump, heavier chassis and full specification, built for intensive duty cycles. Zenith is the value series: AccuStream pump at the same 4,000 bar, on a controlled budget. The cutting technology is identical; what differs is the mechanical reserve.
Beyond the table itself, you need clearance for slab handling, the pump unit, the garnet hopper and service access. Compact models suit smaller workshops; tell us your available floor area and we will confirm what fits.
50 HP at 4,000 bar is standard. A 60 HP / 6,000 bar option increases cutting speed in thick material and is worth considering if you cut steel above 40–50 mm regularly.

What is a waterjet cutting machine?
A waterjet pressurises water to 4,000 bar and forces it through a fine orifice to cut material — a cold cutting technology. For hard materials, garnet abrasive is added to the water stream (abrasive waterjet); soft materials can be cut with pure water.
What materials can a waterjet cut?
Marble, granite, ceramic, quartz, glass, metal, stainless steel, titanium, aluminium, carbon fibre, composite, plastic, wood, foam and rubber. In practice a waterjet cuts almost anything except tempered glass and diamond.
Should I buy 3-axis or 5-axis?
Three axes cut perpendicular and cost less — the right choice where work is mostly straight cutting. Five axes rotate the head on A and C for bevel cutting, taper compensation and three-dimensional contours. The deciding question is whether you currently subcontract angled work or decline to quote it at all.
What is the difference between the STORMA and Zenith series?
STORMA is the premium series with a KMT/BFT high-pressure pump, heavier chassis and full specification. Zenith is the value series, delivering the same 4,000 bar cutting pressure with an AccuStream pump at a lower investment level.
How much does a waterjet cutting machine cost?

How much workshop space does a waterjet need?
In addition to the table footprint, allow clearance for slab manoeuvring, the pump unit, the garnet hopper and service access on all sides. Compact models are designed for smaller workshops.
