USEL Makina was founded in 2004 by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Şimşir, an İTÜ Mechanical Engineering graduate, to develop high-precision CNC machine tools and industrial production technologies.
Since day one our core aim has not been simply to build machines, but to develop reliable, high-performance and long-life production solutions that increase our customers’ competitiveness.
With around 25 years of engineering and manufacturing experience, we today develop, manufacture and supply to world markets high-technology CNC bridge saws, 5-axis machining centres and waterjet cutting systems for the natural stone, glass, metal and composite processing industries.
Our products are in use in more than 30 countries; we provide sales, training and after-sales technical support to customers across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
On the strength of its growth performance in the 2019–2021 period, our company ranked 71st nationally in the “Türkiye’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies” study conducted jointly by TOBB, TOBB ETÜ and TEPAV.
This achievement is an important indication that our production capability, export performance and approach to sustainable growth have been recognised by independent institutions.
R&D and Domestic Technology
USEL Makina is not only a machine manufacturer; it is also an engineering company that develops technology.
Our company was among the founding partners of MİLTEKSAN CNC Teknoloji ve Kontrol Sistemleri A.Ş., established with the support of the Presidency of Defence Industries and TÜBİTAK, contributing actively to the development of Türkiye’s domestic CNC control systems.
The core purpose of our R&D investment is to reduce dependence on imported production technology, develop solutions that deliver higher efficiency, and represent Turkish engineering more strongly in international markets.
When we founded USEL Makina our aim was not simply to build machines. It was to create a trusted technology company that brings the knowledge, manufacturing strength and innovative approach of Turkish engineering to the world.

USEL Makina was founded in Istanbul by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Şimşir.
First machine exports to European and Middle Eastern markets.
Founding partner in a domestic CNC control systems venture supported by the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) and TÜBİTAK.
